Should you weigh every day?

scaleThere’s no right or wrong answer to this question. There are a lot of variables when it comes to weight loss and what’s right for one person is not necessarily right for another person.

The weigh weekly approach is popular because it dismisses daily fluctuations and focuses on several days of achievement. This has been a very successful measure for many people in their weight loss approach.

Recent studies have shown that the weigh daily approach can be effective as well. People who weigh daily are more likely to stay on program because they are more in-tune to their body.

According to a University of Minnesota study, people who weigh every day are more likely to lose weight, and more likely to keep weight off in the long term. Daily weighers are more likely to catch and make changes before a bigger gain takes hold.

Whichever approach you choose, what is sure is that not weighing at all is the least effective weight management choice.
