De-stress your Holidays with Exercise

Do the holidays stress you out? So many events, pot lucks, get togethers? So much pressure to find just the right gift? The cooking, the cookies, the pressure to be jolly?

The holiday season can sure be tough on us mentally, but did you know that regular exercise will refresh your mind and reduce your stress?

That’s right! Any form of exercise, from running to yoga, to weight lifting, can reduce stress by increasing your endorphin levels. Ever heard of a runner’s high? That isn’t just a made up thing that runners tell you, it’s true of most physical activity. When you exercise, your brain produces extra endorphins which makes you happier and less stressed.
